Got a semi-confusing update from him today, but here's what I was told:

The block itself is fine, but the timing belt snapped and there is a hole in the oil pan.

The magic smoke needs to get out somehow, the oil pan isn't as thick as the block.

How did he do this anyways? did he change out some parts or something? He been running a mix of 87+hangover piss or what? lol

kracka suggested that it was tuned up here and wasn't properly retuned for their fuel. If there's one place that I'd never cut a corner, it's on the tune.
