Do those cams need the same kind of clearance the dsm ones do?
Direct drop-in fully compatible with the stock springs/retainers up to 8k rpm.

The Energy Suspension rear differential bushings were installed last weekend and yesterday the FP4R cams went it! My initial impressions are good, but these things have a wicked idle so I need to work a bit more to smooth that out.
Going for a dyno-tune this Friday so numbers/graphs will be posted then :)

This thing pulls nice and hard with 4 people in the car. Had to drop a tad bit of timing up top to get it safe, haven't messed with MIVEC yet. Probably best to be done on the dyno, not sure where the gains will be seen from it but ya, this car now has some serious TORQUE!

Well, its official that Evo IX aftermarket cams are a waste of money. I picked up a little torque, but peak power is barely better and the powerband is barely fatter. Maybe Scheides is right in saying that aftermarket Evo IX cams are a ricer mod. I made a best of 314.5 whp and 311 tq at DB on the Dyno Dynamics. Shane did a great job playing with everything and getting it all dialed in though! I'll get some graphs posted later.

Wow, that's kinda lame. Are the cam profiles any different over stock?

On paper they are more aggressive and at idle they definitely sound it. I'm half-tempted to toss the stockers back in and sell these FP4R's. My buddy Zac (hellomynameis) dyno'd his car on the Evo IX Kelford 272's yesterday as well with the exact same results. His car got 2whp higher peak (316), about the same tq, but his power dropped off sooner than mine. All-in-all, stock Evo IX cams are pretty much perfect from the factory and unless you're running some huge turbo there is no reason to upgrade.
