About 4 people at the bank where I work had it done. The way I understand it is that you don't just get 20/20 vision after the surgery. You actually lose a little of some to correct the other. For example if you are getting lasik done to see better far away, you will lose a little bit of your reading vision.

No, you should actually be very close to 20/20 if it's done right. At least my sister does.

They had it done years ago and maybe it's different technology nowdays. I believe all of them had it done to correct their distance sight. At least 2 of them wear glasses much of the time for reading still even after the surgery.

Mine varies from 20/10 to 20/50. Some days I can see the individual leaves on a tree 1/2 mile away. Some days when I am dehydrated, things are a bit fuzzy. That usually doesn't last all day though. Most of the time I am 20/20 to 20/30.

My mom had terrible eyes and got the Lasik surgery done. Her distance vision is perfect, but she still has to wear glasses for reading.
