My sister inlaw and an old coworker got it done. I can not remember were the coworker got it done. But my Sister inlaw got it done for free. Both love it and is happy for doing it. Look around for best deals. Some people have pay for one eye and get the other free or half off. I for one don't need it at all but I say go for it. Just price out your options. Its spendy but well worth it for what I hear.

Well, wish me luck. I'm going in this afternoon to get it done. I already did all the research and found a doctor, etc. I just wanted to see what other's opinions were on this. I went in for the initial consultation and they said I was a good candidate and that was all I needed to hear. My brother had it done just over a year ago and he has had a lot of good things to say about it. I also talked to a couple of people from work that have had it done too.

I decided to go to Lasik Plus in Edina. I was hesitant about going to a big place like that because I thought it would be like a drive through lasik service. But after meeting with them, they take the time to go over everything with you and make sure you're comfortable. Plus you get the benefit of having doctors with a lot of procedures and credentials, associations, memberships, etc. You also get the latest equipment and have the people trained to use it.

Wish me luck. I'll let everyone know how it went tomorrow.

p.s. It's a good thing I'm not superstitious. I didn't realize until this morning that I'm having lasers shot at my eye on Friday the 13th. :D

I can't even put contacts in my eyes, let alone think about going that.

It is a pretty frightening when it happens, but it is over so fast that you don't have time to freak out. It really doesn't hurt at all, you just have to shut up and listen to them. They have things over your eye lids so you can't shut your eye and the laser automatically tracks your eye even if you move it. Not quite fool proof, but close.

Everything went ok. I'm not blind, so I guess it was a sucess. :D

It wasn't nearly as bad a I thought it would be. It didn't hurt at all, but I was a little squirmish with other people poking around my eye. All in all it wasn't a bad experience.

My vision is a little cloudy right now, but it should clear up by tomorrow. I go in for a follow up appointment tomorrow and I'm sure everything will be fine. :D

Damn Mark, glad it went well for ya. I wish I could go through with it. My biggest thing I hate with glasses is swimming. :-(

That's awesome Mark! :D That's the place my sister went to as well. She said her eyes were pretty dry and vision wouldn't be as good at night, but that only lasted a few weeks. Now she is so happy she did it.
