View Full Version : Which turbo would you guys prefer?
Roll a pair of dice until you get 2 numbers which are available in a trim (ie- 50, 57, 60, etc.).
Must be some funky dice down in Iowa! We don't have 7's or 0's on the ones in Minnesota :kissass:

Sorry, i was interrupted.
I say get something in a GT30 comp wheel and then its up to you on the other side.
SC 61, 3052, 3065. or equivalents for those turbo.
RST don't comment or make public judgements on what i say it just wastes space, plus no-one really gives a toss about it.
I have dealt with Jake also and he is a cool guy.
GSxer good luck, but plenty of research and late night will net you your answer.
I usually go with threads that have results and logs, not just estimates.
Also talking to guys like know, like the old guys here and shop owners.
Not people with just a stack of badass parts waiting to be fast.
gsxer, get yourself a 20G and see what it will do. If you can't pull 11's out of it then get something bigger and sell the 20G. It takes all of an hour or two to swap out a turbo, not that big of a deal to go bigger if you need to!
Although this tends to be the DSMer mentality, it probably isnt the way to go. If you cant run 11's with a 20G, the last thing you should be doing is going bigger.

You are right, but I just don't see why you wouldn't want to just buy something that will get the car (eventually) to his target power goal. It looks as if he basically has what he needs to get there - I could be missing something as it's late. But again, what your statement is alluding to I agree with - if the car is capable for an 11 second pass, it's not the car, it's the person driving it.

:jackoff:
Consider this space wasted. I don't see why you'd "waste space" talking about a turbo above and beyond (and the some) of his goal. But hey, you're a gopher at a local shop, your opinion must be valued. Your original post was useless. Just don't do it again. I hate stupidity, especially in the tech section. I will make public judgements/comments when there is truth behind it. It's obvious which side of the fence I'm on when push comes to shove - I'll just put that out there so you don't have to question it ever again.
Seriously, is it just fucking impossible to not go into personal attacks in tech threads? I don't care who does it anymore, I'm going to start banning people for a day here and there if they can't keep useless shit out of the tech areas.
A good point was also made, if the same thread is made 80 trillion times I'll ban that person for a day as well.

Not gonna lie, when noobish questions like this come up that are easily searchable and has been gone over many times before, and makes more than one thread w/ the same question, there's bound to be some banter and bashing. It doesn't help when latley it seems like everyone is bleeding out of their vag's. Just my thoughts though, don't ban me
On to something on topic...... For the amount of information you seem to have on turbos, and even your car in general, I think you need to do some more research on your own first before you size a turbo for your car (or ask everyone else to do it for you). Look at other people's set ups, check out tuning software, see what a new turbo actually takes to be ran correctly without toasting your engine, and for god's sake, use the search function and google. There's no need to re-invent the wheel here. If it's a DSM, it's been done, so I'd suggest checking out setups of other guys that are running the times you are looking for
