Who cares about the haters. It is your ride and your choice. Allot of folks will jump the band wagon when you break records and kiss your ass. Keep up the good work and keeping reality into check. I know allot of folks do allot of talking and can't get the first spark plug out of their car.

Guys, this is the PROJECT forum, not the SANDY VAGINA forum. EvilEvo, please keep the shit talking to a minimum and the updates to a maximum :D
Everyone else, unless you have something worth-while to say, please take it elsewhere (i.e. create a new thread in the off-topic forum (parking lot) since you're whining will only further drag the topic of this thread into the gutter.
This is an insane build-up. Let's grow up and watch it unfold. If evil wants to boast a little, let him. Wouldn't you if this thing was in your garage?

Here was one of my early cad drawings of what I wanted to do and make sure I pass the 25.1 spec:

What did you build your model in, Solidworks or Pro/E? Run any FEA load simulations to see how your cage is going to behave?
Buschur has always been pretty nice to me and AMS has always hated me since my intake manifold design. They tried to belittle me and throw long words at me to make it seem like thier intake manifold was so great... then I showed them what CFD and engineering could provide and they pretty much shut up.
Care to expand upon the "CFD and engineering?" What'd you run CFD models in, Fluent? As soon as I can afford it, I have some OEM parts that I'm going to send off to get CAD models of and hopefully then run some CFD models.

I was just reading your thread on EvoM. AMS and Buscher sure are being complementary about your work.
Its too bad you have to come on this board and talk shit about them. :(

I used solidworks to make the model proto-type. I use FloWorks for the lighter CFD stuff and Fluent for the more extensive stuff. Yes I ran load simulations but I honestly dont know how accurate they are considering that is not even the exact design on how it turned out. It is also hard for me to find out exactly where the load would be placed and at what direction, etc, etc... I mainly used the load testing part on small certain clusters. Another reason I couldnt really do much of the load testing is the way I stuck all the piping together. I did it in a way that none of them are technically connected in solidworks.... that way I could make a parts list with lengths and even print out the coped cuts for each pipe should I want to.
If you want let me know what the parts are and if it isnt too complicated Ill draw them up for ya.

I dont even know where to begin.
First off, when talking shit (i.e. calling someone a moron) make it a point to not make yourself look like a pretentious asshole in the process by using the correct version of THEY'RE.
Second, nobody likes a cocky prick. Its real easy to come on here and call the guys at the top a joke, but they are their for a reason. You want to beat the ams shop car, thats great. Its undoubtably more of a street car than yours is at this point, and come to think of it so is Sheps. I guess you'll have to run an 8.97@165 or better to back up all this shit talking.
Lastly, since this evo is gods gift to racing will you be racing it against other cars of similar builds in a real race series? Or are you just going to race other street cars so you dont get your ass handed to you by a full weight supra or viper.
I wont bother wasting my time explaining most of this so I wont... I will explain a few things though. I didnt realize anyone on here liked AMS as much as you do and if Id known I would not have made the comment so I apoligize.
I will run the car in Pro RWD or Pro Outlaw RWD depending on the race so there will not be any street cars competing against me... they will all be full tube vehicles like mine, most of which have sponsers and financial backing... all of which I dont so yes, I will get my ass handed to me and enjoy every lashing.
As for the times I expect to run I dont want to even guess but beating an 8.97 better not be too tough :)
As for the full weight Supras... not sure I have ever seen one run an 8 second pass.. Im sure there are a few I just havent seen them so no, I will run in a quicker class then what they would.

Oh... and I dont believe I did talk any shit about Buschur... in fact I think I kinda defended him. And once again I didnt realize you liked AMS so much so Im sorry for being rude about them. Like I said before, they got really pissed off at me after the whole intake manifold thing so since then I have not been awfully found of them. Then they had to go talk about thier tube car that they sold and decided to omit that fact and to top it off called it an Evo I/II right after they told me mine was no longer an Evo VIII. That is the reason behind it. Not sure what your big problem with me really is but screw it. If you dont like me or my project dont talk about it :) No need to talk about that shit anymore.
On another note, I finished the rear of the funny car cage which is the last tube that I will put on until the body gets mounted temporarily. I need to find the exact location of the front tires so I need the body to make sure its perfect. I plan on getting that done by early next week. Once thats done Ill need to finish the front end w/ steering and suspension which wont take long. I already made brackets to hold the suspension and rims on the rear so it should be a rolling chassis soon :)

Buschur was very nice actually. He did go through the same exact shit that I am / will be going through..........
Buschur already knows what this car will undoubtedly run when its complete and it obviously doesnt bother him. He sold his Pro RWD that back in the days with 660s and a VPC ran a low 8 or a 7 (Cant remember exactly).
........
I have known Buschur and AMS for a while... Buschur has always been pretty nice to me and AMS has always hated me since my intake manifold design. They tried to belittle me............
..... Buscher..... (
(sp?)
Just figured Id clarify this again... now please just drop it.
