Thanks for your input and recommendations. It looks like we're leaning towards just staying here now: http://www.southpierinn.com/

Although I really want to visit the indoor waterpark at Edgewater. http://www.duluthwaterpark.com/index.php

I'm guessing it probably isn't too exciting and is more for babysitting your kids but dammit I still love a good waterslide. :D

The Southpier Inn is a good hotel choice. The Edgewater is decent, the regular rooms are kinda dumpy though; definitely not the place for a romantic getaway.

Another local place is Sammy's Pizza; I grew up loving this place.
Sammy's is my favorite thin crust pizza anywhere. I pesonally like the one in Downtown Duluth on W 1st St the best. Check out their lunch buffet M-F, the price isn't too bad and they have lots of pizza, pasta, bread, etc.

Naw, I'm just wondering if they have some fun waterslides or if it's more of a little kiddie place.

I've never been to it, but supposedly its pretty cool for older people too. Might be worth checking out and buying a day-pass for if you have some free time and the weather is crappy outside. My ex-roomie is actually the waterpark manager, and a female friend of mine lifeguards there.

Heading up there again this year so I thought I'd bring this back up and see if any new places/things have popped up. :)
