Hacienda Del Sol, great authentic Mexacan food.
Ick, that place is nasty. There is a place across the street from the Miller Hill Mall that is much better. I can't think of the name, but its right there. Baha Billy's in the Fitger's Complex (as discussed earlier) is pretty good too.

I grew up there for 20 years before I moved down here. Anyway, if you are into outdoors stuff take her down to Canal Park and walk around. Its awesome depending on the weather. Also if you are into nice views take her up on Skyline drive, there are a very scenic views that are great for parking (wink wink), not that I have ever done that sort of thing.

And the restaraunts around there are countless. I would suggest Black Woods Bar and Grill out on London Rd. Great place for lunch. For dinner take her to the Radisson Hotel, there is a restaraunt on top of it that actually rotates as you eat. It overlooks the lake and the city of Duluth, it rotates slowly, around once every 70 minutes.

Otehr than that, just take a drive around, by the lake and down to Park Point across the lift bridge, there is a lot to see.

I recomend against that place, the portions get smaller and the food gets shittier as the time goes on.

If you're into the late-night happy hour stuff the best place would be Grizzlies up by the mall. For dinner the Radisson is very good as Craig suggested. If you like Chineese food, I LOVE the China Cafe on London Road.

There's a place that serves some great Vietnamese food as well. In that building. At the place.

LOL, You guys are great! I'll have to get a place with internet access just so I can look here to remember what all I need to check out. We are leaning towards this place http://www.mungerinn.com as it seems to be a decent little place and isn't too spendy. If you know it sucks please feel free to let me know. It would be nice to have a fireplace and and a hot tub to spend some "quality" time.

I personally wouldn't suggest the munger inn. But but seeing the website it looks like they have come a little ways from what I remember.

And the price keeps climbing. Think of an overpriced TimberLodge, if you can....

Holiday Inn downtown is a decent hotel, I've stayed there once and been through there many times. All the hotels in Canal Park are pretty decent too. Canal Park is a great place to stay if you are a touist since there is so much nearby (shops, restuarants, etc.).

Being a woman I can naturally be picky here is my 2 cents hope it helps.
The twin ports can be fun or hell pending on where you stay -a lot of the places are rat holes and sleeping in the car at the McDonalds parking lot or calling up the Grandparents to crash on the couch has more appeal. But there are 2 places I have stayed at and recommend.
The Inn on lake superior in Canal Park or Barker’s Island Inn they are clean and safe.

Here is a link to some deals Spirit Mountain has with local hotels + hotel info. http://www.spiritmt.com/lodging.aspx

Duluth has a Pizza Luce and they have live music.

Another local place is Sammy's Pizza; I grew up loving this place. When I am in town I go to the one in Superior on Tower Ave. it is kind of a sad Italian decor with a bar but the food is fab. and so is the bar tenders drinks. The pizza is a very good thin crust style and they don't skimp on the toppings they are usually packed or backed up with take out orders so plan on 20-30min on the pizza -2 people, get the large it goes fast.

If you want a semi fancy place to go for dinner but affordable ($9-$20) go to the Hammond Bar & Steak House on N.5TH St in Superior. It has a small menu but huge portions with lots of sides included and they do have fish that is fab too.
