If the balls aren't in the rails the car will not beable to get gears.

As I said, you'd be better off not touching it. The more shit you mess up, the more it will cost.

Sorry if i want to experience things and fix it myself than have my mom or dad pay for it to get fixed for me.

You need to do a search for the Mitsu transmission repair manual. I think it's on one of the Gallant boards.

Well, looks like i'm taking the transmission out sunday and shipping it back to mitsubishi graveyard in new york. Hes fixing it for free and paying for shipping so that takes care of it, i did all i could do with the transmission being still in the car.

p.s. dont buy transmission from mitsubishigraveyard.com

How much did this tranny cost you? Shep ones are the best way to go...

These trannies are one of the weak links on all DSM's. The last place I would buy a tranny from is a mitsu dealer or anything of any kind. Shep or TRE is the way to go. Even for just a stock replacement *stage1*
