If I were to sell it I could probably get $11k or so for it. I wouldn't sell it unless I got $15k for it though.

Build/buy everything it will take to make 600hp reliably, then buy the BIG turbo as your last investment. Do all the supporting mods in any order first. Most don't really effect drivability that much. Then throw da BIG turbo on itz.

Do you want 600awhp on a Dynojet AWD or Dyno Dynamics AWD? There is about a 100HP difference in power there.

Do you want to be a dyno queen or actually go fast?

Here was my recipe:
Stock bore 7-bolt
Block cleaned/honed/decked
Eagles/Wisecos
1G Head
HKS 272s
Crower Springs/Retainers
Big intercooler
Piece of shit intake manifold held together with silicone couplers
Walbro 255 intank + Walbro 255 inline
950cc fuel injectors
Good clutch
AEM EMS
3.5" Exhaust
67mm P-trim turbo
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Terrible 17" hockey puck tires
Power leather interior/carpet/all interior panels/sunroof
Fat guy who can't drive
31psi of boost on VP C16 race gas
10.4 in the 1/4 mile

What a great thread. Here is my .02 cents. My car right now is going to be DD/fun car. Ya its a 1gb..I know it break something every other week. Or when I get money.... See what was trying to be said is...the problem is not money. Its the damn car. For starters...you have a crankwalking nightmare under that hood. Then another problem is...your drivetrain might not hold up. Atleast you have a four bolt rearend. We all been around the block...granted we all don't have 600+ hp 4 wheel smoking DSMs. But we know what can and should be done to do that. Yes your problem right now is money. Hell settle for a Big 16g maybe port it alittle. Get that small turbo out of there. Maybe you like what you buy. And yes you have to get a fuel controler for it. And some injectors. So here is the deal you have to start small to go big. Granted yes its a waste of money. But you can always sell your setup to help pay for that bigger one. There will always be a DSMer or some other turbo bound car driver that like a Big 16g to bolt on there Geo Metro.... So there take it as it is. Or start saving and mod your 2gb for 300 to 400hp. You thank us later.... You might like that setup over 600hp and a headache....

Read Nitridrs post very carefully, "two of the cars in the stable are NEAR 600hp, with 10k invested in just parts" Then if you add labor, well good luck.

If its going to break your bank to invest that much into your car, just wait until your dsm breaks, WHICH WE ALL KNOW JUST READING YOUR POSTS THAT IT WILL HAPPEN, Then you will still have money for broken trannys, crankwalked 7bolts, blown diffs, blown turbos (because we know you are going to go to ebay).

fyi... I plan to buy scheides's setup and keep the boost low until everything else is beefed up and can handle the full boost.

I know I know what you guys are going to say ..... the itch to up that boost .... I got pretty good self control since I've seen my fair share of other peoples blown setups.

Who cares what everyone else says. Just go for the goal, that will be awesome when you get there. But i suggest getting a 6 bolt.

Sure self control until you find out how laggy a big turbo is at low boost. Oh by the way the real weakness in our cars when you get up in high horse power is the transfer case(everything can be beefed up but the transfer case). The best thing to do is to set up a quarter mile time(no not 10sec or faster). That is alot easier to accomplish than 600HP in a DSM. You can tell people you have a 600HP car and than you must back up your mouth. If you run 11sec and have a time slip to prove it than no one is going to question you. Vassil has a good setup and runs consistant 11 sec quarter miles. If you think a 14b is weak. You should ask SlowV. He got some respect from some of the 2G owners and RSX guys in the Twin City area. I know for a fact his 14b power car will walk your DSM right now and he is on a stock turbo. Also 600HP and Daily Driver don't go together. I not trying to be an arse hole but I see people like you come and go with broken dreams. I have a fully built 1G sitting on jack stands in my garage with over 6K invested and I am only aiming at 400 HP. Last note 600HP cars are not that easy to launch. I don't care if you have AWD.
