well i'd inspect it first and make sure that the arm is angled wrong before you go pulling the tranny.

wait.. .this is a 6 bolt isnt it? Nevermind my comment about crankwalk :)

Just because its a 6 bolt doesnt mean it cant get crankwalk.

I'd try the washers behind the pivot ball idea first, then if that doesnt work, then look into a new pressure plate/TOB. If the problem is still there I'd check for CW.

Does it screech bad if you push in the clutch with the car not running? If it only does it with the clutch running, then it is probably the throw out bearing.

Yeah it only screeches when the car is running. And i just looked at where the position of the TOB fork is and its well over on the passenger side. Its funny because i had come to the conclusion that it wasnt because the inside of it was able to spin freely, and thats all the hayes manual told me to check. Doh.
Oh well, i have the next two days to do this so im pretty good.

Might as well get a new PP too. I had a problem with my old GST were the PP looked fine until I got the new and compared them. The old one you could tell was bad then, all the fingres were bent in evenly.

No harm in replacing everything, at least that way you know everything is perfect and done correctly. Eventually you'll have to replace everything so you might as well do it all in one shot to save on your labor.

I have also had a pressure plate problem before and I couldn't tell it was bad until I compared it to one that I knew was good.
