did you make sure the oil filter housing didnt have the seal from the old oil filter on it still?

there was black little specs in my oil, im assuming they where metal shavings

being the dumbass i am, i decided to start her anyways, but i knew to shut it off right away, and sure enough there was a quart laying on the ground

jake when i changed my oil the other day i went hand tite and it felt perfect on the filter, so i decided to give in an extra 1/4 turn with my filter and it felt like i messed up the gasket
