sorry i didnt respond chris, but about the welded diff, The dealership listed that as a feature of the car so i think project 2gs friend can put blame on the dealership for leaving a potentially bad modification on a car that was sold. I think it would be under negligence, and with the smog i was referring to the sr20 swap and other mods, Dealers in california cannot sell a car that does not pass smog.
