How did you plug in the wrong cable? The plugs are keyed, as such you can't put a square peg in a round hole.

microcenter sells new cases once you figure out what kind of drive it is

just like peter said, hook that drive up to your computer, or stick it into a new case

there's a hard drive inside, I'm sure you just fried the power supply for it

could try taking it apart and yanking the hard drive out of the case, hooking it up to a PC as a slave

they cant really be repaired once they are shot. It costs about a grand or more for data recovery
