New to the site, Demon has entered the forum
Hey all, a little about me, I am 22, and I drive a 97 Eagle Talon ESi, I know technically not a mitsu, but it is a DSM, so I figured it was safe.
a little about the car: I got the car 2 years ago originally was going to be a parts car for a base model that I had purchased from a friend then realized had a hole in the block, not his fault though(he buys/sells or retires cars) when I got the car it only needed a front bumper and a trans, other cars trans was good and it had a bumper. I swapped out a bunch of the interior panels from the other car because the previous owner of this one had spray painted the interior in a 2-tone black/gray scheme, got rid of all those panels in favor of the un-painted solid gray panels from the other car, about a year ago I traded my 2Gb rear bumper for a 2Ga talon rear bumper because my car was broken into and the rejects had broken 1 of my side strakes when they stole my stuff, didn't like the way the 2Gb rear has those little winglet things on it without the strakes. this year right after I moved back to california I lost the trans that I swapped into the car 2 years ago due to lack of fluid changes & having let a friend pop-start the car too many times - 1st gear blew up.
I painted parts of the car out of boredom while waiting to get the new transmission and that is why she has the black parts now.
now for what you want, pics of the car!

I must ask, why did you come over from the "almighty" mitsu-media, to a local Minnesota forum?

Re: New to the site, Demon has entered the forum
I did not know this was a MN forum, thought it was just another mitsu forum, and no turbo to this one, I am planning on doing an all motor build to this and getting a 1Ga AWD, gonna finish primer'ing her soon, flat black with Monster green accents to be different, then when I can afford a real paint job she will be Ice Blue with a black top.

Why would you do an all motor build? A lot of money and time for no power or excitement.

i agree with goat blower. if you have an exhaust and an intake i would call it a day. anything else is going to be a lot of money for not a lot of gain. power wise anyways.

Wrong!
Factory Specs: ESi - 2.0L DOHC 420a = 140hp and 130tq from factory.
It can be made to see 200WHP if done properly, and I am doing an all-motor build because it is going to be a street car, aka, DD. I have a couple of plans for slight cosmetic changes to the car (NO, not any stupid body kits) that will make it a very unique Talon. I am only planning on making it fast enough to keep me entertained while I search for a decent condition 1Ga AWD to build up.
my current car is staying all motor because it is different to make an all motor build with it, everyone is slapping a turbo on them these days which makes that something I don't want to do. I want my vehicles to be different and therefore I do differently then everyone else. This car will end up being parked out front of my shop when I finish it, and get the shop opened up.

No sir you are wrong. Factory specs = HP at the flywheel. WHP= WHEEL HP. You will not make 140hp and 130tq on a dyno.
I used to have a 2gnt and they are no fun. ever. no matter what you do to them to make yourself think they will be fun, they are not.
