project darkness
Just picked this beast up last night. Its a 1990 Chevy as Silverado. It has a 5.3 swap with 706 heads. The motor is all stock except for valve spring. It has a gt45 turbo mounted to it running 10 psi. It made 590 at 10 psi on pump gas with the old motor at APS auto works. The old motor had a came and different heads. The truck needs some work to be perfect in my eyes. I need to fix a couple things before bringing it in to get retuned. I am hoping I can break 600whp this year with it. I would like to clean up some of the wiring, fix exhaust stuff, cooling fan, install a trans temp gauge, waste gate dump tube, and some other small stuff.
5.3 swap
Gt45 turbo
80lb injector
Big fuel pump
Built th350 tranny reverse shift
2800 stall
Trans brake

hoo hoo hooo, daddy like.
There are a few fast trucks around already. I was with a friend last year and ran a 600whp truck on low boost makes over 900whp turned up.
Things fucking scooT!

Re: project darkness
Thanks. I am not a truck person but this thing puts a smile on my face. The turbo is loud. I missed having something boosted.

Re: project darkness
Well I been busy this weekend working on the truck. I fixed the exhaust cross over pipe this weekend. It was way to close to the radiator fan and they had a flex pipe on the cross over pipe. I ran out of exhaust wipe and energy to finish it today. I have a new turbo on its way. Hopefully by the 4th of july I will have the truck up and running again.
