Re: Exhaust Piping
how about a custom o2 housing, not for a dsm though, for a 99 galant with the 4g64, alot of us have problems with o2 housings, cause we can actually use a dsm manifold, and turbo, (flipped around) but we don't have an o2 housing, if you want more info, pm me.

Re: Exhaust Piping
Price Please:
3" SS cat back + 3" SS test pipe + 2.5"-3" SS w/flex downpipe?
What do you use for mufflers (stainless of course)?

Re: Exhaust Piping
I use a stainless straight through muffler. It has a slant cut on the end with the burn tip. They look really nice. They also have a silencer that quiets them down a ton. Good for long trips or something. They are not real loud, but middle of the road. A resonator can also be added if you want a really quiet system.
It would be a full 3" system with a neck down to 2.5" right at the O2 housing. The cat-back would actually eliminate the cat. Price for a 1g AWD would be $650. I don't think that you will find anyone that can touch that price, and I guarantee you can't if you look at the quality.

Re: Exhaust Piping
So I would imagine it would be a little more for a GVR-4 system like this as they are a bit longer? I can get a system for 700 from the galant board, but would rather support the local guy as much as possible. Any possiblity for a twin tip muffler for a more stock appearance?

Re: Exhaust Piping
I did a local GVR4 2 weeks ago and it looked great! He was extremely happy. It would be $675 for a GVR4.

Re: Exhaust Piping
$425 and I am booked up for about 2 weeks. Everything is stainless, flanges and all. It includes a N1 style muffler with a slant tip.

Re: Exhaust Piping
Hey Jet, remember my GVR4? well assuming the weather is correct and the dsm gods are willing, it will come back from LSE tomorrow....driveable...maybe
IF it works, then its gonna need the exhaust, we talked about a turbo back 3" SS exhaust with an 02 dump, and a resonator for $900-950 I believe?
Also, you probably remember how much of a bitch I am when it comes to noise, so could you weld a flange (or something) right at the muffler? so that I could use the N1 muffler on track/race days and a magnaflow(non-straight through) for the rest of the time? maybe 4 wingnuts or something so that its actually easy to swap mufflers.
Thanks

Re: Exhaust Piping
Here is a pic of a 3" O2 housing I recently finished. It is internally dumped for a 16g with a V-band attached to mate up to the 3" DP. Only one bolt to drop the exhaust!

Re: Exhaust Piping
Awesome.
My cousin might be interested in a 3" turbo back system, minus the muffler.

Re: Exhaust Piping
Jet could you shoot me an estimated price for a 3" SS Turbo-back including the O2 housing with the V-band clamp like your pic,No cat, and an N1 style muffler? for a 95 GS-T stock style turbo.

Re: Exhaust Piping
$975 because on FWD's you have to go over the axle, which is a PITA.
