Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
I have a fuel psi gauge that I wanna hook up, but I really don't know where to hook it up to! It comes with 1/8" NPTF male fitting. What will this tap off of?

Just drill and tap the Banjo fitting on top of the fuel filter.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
Yea better yet weld it on without removing it from the car and with the car running. wtf is this advice?
I have personally do not have a fuel p. guage but Im quite positive you can use AN fittings for the whole thing... no welding required and I hope your talking about removing something from the car to weld but who knows with the posts you been putting up on this site lately.

Remove to drill and tap as well. AN's would work to.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
EclipseTurbo..what's that supposed to mean? I am asking on how to install it, and what to tap it off of, cause it comes with that fitting, that is said to be rather common, yet I cannot find a common place to run it off of. I don't know what adaptors I need to get, or anything like that.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
Pay attention Swifty, he wasn't talking to you He was talking to Jiggyman. Notice how he was talking about someone welding something onto the fuel system in the car, but you didn't say anything about welding anything in the fuel system. Therefore you would not be the one he was talking to.

Ok. Sorry, I am a lil outta it. I found out my good friend accidentally killed someone, by t-boning her, so I am kinda pre-occupied. My sincerest apologies eclipseturbo.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
You can buy a cheap B&M fuel pressure gauge, throw out the crappy gauge and keep the fitting that goes on the fuel filter. They also list a replacement fitting as part #46062, that might be just the fuel filter fitting.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
I had my car apart for other reasons, and I had mike @ QPR drill a hole in the fuel rail & weld in the fitting right there, next to my afpr. it looks sweet, and I can easily read it while adjusting the afpr, since it's clocked correctly to!

This is the best place I've seen. You just build up some material with a welder, then drill and tap it.QPR has a handful of fuel rails already welded and it only takes 15 mins to swap.

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
Thanks for understanding eclipseturbo. So, you guys are suggesting that I get a new fuel rail with this fitting already welded in? How much? I'll remind all in that it's a 1/8" NPT fitting.

Yep, the gauge looks really clean there.I believe they are $60 w/core, and it can be drilled and tapped for any size fitting you want

Re: Fuel PSI Gauge hookup..
Well, keep in mind that this gauge is going in the vent pod I have, so I can see it from the driver's spot. It's electrical, so It's not gonna flow gas into the cockpit at all. Where can I find a fuel rail with the 1/8" NPT female fitting welded on? It's for a 92 gsx.

You missed LightingGSX's other post above saying that QPR charges 60 with a core You should just reread your whole post and you might find other answers to questions haha
