Test pull in talon

Just a lil fun test pull after fixing a huge boost leak on the intake manifold. untuned for wot a gang of fuel was added at 6k on up. initially it made 693whp on older comp 67mm compressor wheel but boost came on awkwardly. It would get 22psi at 7k and slowly creep to 31psi by 9300rpm. We initially thought the turbo was just laggy even though it didn't feel laggy. But it was the damn boost leak. This is Comp turbo newer 67mm compressor wheel so I had no idea what boost it would hit and definitely didn't know with the leak fixed. so I did a roll to 45mph in 3rd and and then went 100% throttle. it spooled to 20psi just before 6k and max boost was 38psi. That is the stretched boost contorller boost!! This pull is Pig rich afr (10.6) and just at 7.8* peak timing!!! It lifted and got crazy swirly still spinning all 4's up to shift light....9500rpm lol. How much whp do you think it putting down from vid?

Re: Test pull in talon

Took her to dyno and ran into ignition issues. Got new stock coils and new NGK wires and went back thinking it would be ok. Car is more tuned but soon as car hit full boost got spark blowout. But results from the unclean early let off pull look promising. Hit 38psi at 6.8k and breaking up from 7k-7.7k
it made 723whp at 7.7k.

Re: Test pull in talon

I'll be hitting the dyno again since my ignition has come in. tuner feels its not going to level until 9K. He says once fully tuned and maybe some more boost. he thinks it's going to make 1100whp. looking at the graph a clean pull at 38psi looks like it may hit 800whp near 7.5k.
