Well the topic description says how many miles are supposedly on the clutch. I did a few launches the past few days and now my clutch slips at around 3500. Did I really fry it that fast or is somthing else wrong.

Raptor you might have another customer for a clutch soon...

Man, I went through two stock clutches within 6 months of getting my car, and it was FWD! Those stock clutches blow, get an ACT and you'll be set for a while...

Mitsu designed th estock clutch to be the "fuse" in the driveline that gives before somethjing breaks. If you are making more power then you will need a better clutch.

man, I have had my stock clutch for over a year and it is still fine with mods. I think it is starting to slip at high rpms though. Nothing like 3500.

Mine stocker started slipping last fall after 2 years of normal driving with no mods. Feels weird to think I had no mods.

3500rpm range is probably where the higher torque peak is for him

My clutch slips until ~6800 when it finally engages after a launch. My stocker only has ~10,000 miles. I have a 2600 waiting to go in though.

I made one hard launch at RF this summer and the next run I made I didn't have anything after that gear... Barely made it off the track and now it drives fine.. But I have nearly no pressure on it. Oddly though it doesn't slip unless I push it. Even after the guys who saw me do it said I blew clutch smoke out from under my car, wish I could of seen that.

Damn stock clutches.

Smoking your clutch is because of a bad launch. That must have smelled nice.

I wouldn't see it as abnormal, John's car came with ALL of the service records and it had one at like 27K, 56K and it was weak when he got it at 71K and died at 77K. That's a GVR4 that was owned and driven by women, some times people that just don't know can do more damage then people that beat on things.
