WTB 6 Bolt Engine

Possibly looking for a 6 bolt to put in a 2g shell that I just finished painting. Wanted to test the waters and see whats out there. Doesn't have to be anything crazy but aftermarkets are a plus. Stock is ok too.

I do require that I can somehow verify the condition of the engine. Could be hear it run, compression test or visual inspection like checking the cylinder walls, etc if it was apart. Anything so I know it's ready to run and has some good life left in it.

I am capable of engine assembley also if yours is apart. I also know what I'm looking at so please, no fast ones or BS.

Shoot me a PM and let me know what you've got and how much. Might be for me, might not. Lets talk.

Re: WTB 6 Bolt Engine

I wish, got the next best thing instead. Pretty sure his old car went out of state after it was parted.

Free bump! Any Wiseco/eagle/stock rod motors out there?

Re: WTB 6 Bolt Engine

I've got a .040 over 6 bolt, rods and pistons, no crank. only like 500 miles or so on the fresh machined block. I'll ask Blake what he wants for it

.040 over seems a little steep to me, price isnt bad but at some point the cylinder walls get a little thin.

Why is the crank out of it? What pistons does it have?

Re: WTB 6 Bolt Engine

I have it here. The pistons are oem 1g .040 over with stock 1g rods. It is just a stock rebuild. There is nothing wrong with a .040 over engine. Still could go bigger over if needed down the road. The crank is out because Blake is buying a built bottom end from me that I sold the crank out of my built engine.

Re: WTB 6 Bolt Engine

So it's disassembled? (Pistons are out?) how much of a short block is it? (Front cover, oil pump, OFH, water pump, etc etc etc)

If its all looking good, I might be interested.
