April 9th is the opening track date at Rockfalls for Sport Compact Sunday.
I plan on being there.

Looks good man! Is there a reason you went with Mitsu housings as opposed to a standard T3?

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
Not really .
We were originally thinking td05 kit. I wanted to go internally gated, and I generally like the Mitsu setup.

Working on it.
Though, I got mad at the buffer yesterday. Maybe today it'll be good.

Dummy motor, hopefully the real deal will be finished with assembly (waiting on my heads to come back w/the valves, then its porting time!) the 17th. I hope to be cranking it over the 24th at the latest.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
Wow... Then tuning begins! Do you guys already have the dyno in and set up?
BTW: Do you guys port your own heads or take them somewhere to do it? If you do it yourself, what do you use to finish the intake ports to "roughen" it up a little or do you make it smooth?
Also, what suspension is that? Looks really nice!

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
Dyno- 4 days and counting till it lands.
Porting- In house, and we leave a bit of "rough" on the intake ports. (80 grit).
Suspension- K-sport. It is a 36 way adjustable TRUE coil-over system. It isn't as well known as the Tein/JIC products, but they have been around for a bit of time. We are a distributor for them and they make excellent products.

Good to hear. Should be exciting to see it the dyno up and ready to go... Any DSMStyle dyno days planned yet?
As for the porting... I was using 80 grit, just wasnt sure if that was correct or not. Seems pretty smooth. Oh well, I'll try roughing it up again before I get it hot tanked.

Re: Finally getting stuff done on our cars
Looks awesome man, I can't wait to see that thing running this spring. I can't believe how well the roll cage turned out, Kyle said it was hard to see from the outside, but it was hard to invision.

Has John's car had the rust fixed and been repainted?
