LightningGSX can do it. Just send him a PM, I'm going to have him socket mine if I ever get it.

$20-$30 , I can do it pretty much any time.I'll include a capacitor R and R in the price if needed.

Nash, are you just waiting for the socket? I just got in a shit load of different sockets, I can't remember the pin config on the DSM ecu, but I probably have a socket for it.

Hey Eric, they are 28-pin chips.
Out of curiosity, where do you live? I might have an ecu for you to socket as well since I don't have access to the tools anymore...

The chips in the ECU are permanently soldered in place, when you socket them, you remove the chip and solder a socket in its place, and the chip gets plugged back into the socket. This allows the chips to be easily removed and replaced.I live in St Paul Park, and I have a whole rail of 28 pin dip sockets.

To run different chips with stuff like higher revlimiters, 2-step, no fuel cut, non-stock MAS compensation, larger injector compensation, different timing maps, etc.

No, I have a socket. I'm just waiting on my ECU. If/When I get it I'll be getting hold you to get it socketed.

i'm 21. i have the ecu, but i don't get paid till next week. spent most of my money on my rebuilt. so i have to wait.
i think i can do the socketing itself, but i'm not so sure about replacing the caps.
have anyone done the keydiver mod/chip? that is why i wanted to socket the ecu.
where in eastside your from? i'm located on case and johnson, near palen.
later.

Unless you've desoldered a chip with a high pin count before, I wouldn't recommend it, it's pretty easy to tear the solder pads from the board, then you're screwed.Anyway I grew up right off Rose and Duluth.

Does anyone know if certain perameters can be changed on those chips without losing everything else on them?
I want to lower the rev limit and change the injector sizes on the TMO chip im buying without losing the security features and such.
