Transmission

So when a friend of mine hooked up a code reader to my car it gave a general code for the transmission. We are thinking one major thing, celenoids, but he said that the gas mileage would be really bad if it were those, which it is not, I still get about 25-30 hwy, 18-25 city. No check engine light is on either. Wondering if anyone had any insight.... I am hoping it is just a filter or electrical problem.

Check tranny fluid level and color. Also check all connectors onto the tranny. Then check the tranny computer for any power/ground issues. Then after all that, just drive the car if all things are working well.
