No shit? I've seriously never heard of this and never bothered to open my eyes wide enough apparently when looking at Steve's car. Anyone got any pics with this done? What changes for belts and such?

I took pics of steve's car. I'll see if I can upload them when I get home tonight from work. Sorry steve, if you didn't want pics taken.

Re: alternator relocate?

I was looking around for the same thing and found them at:

http://www.jayracing.com/products.htm

it is the second item down the list. The price is 125.00

Here is the info from the site:

Jay Racing Alternator relocation kit - Stock Water Pump

This product is designed to relocate the alternator on a 1G DSM to the firewall side of the block. The kit includes the proper size belt, modified tensioner, and all hardware. This kit retains the use of the stock water pump and runs off of the outer most ribs of the crank pulley.

For use on 1G DSMs using the stock water pump

Price: $125.00 USD

Re: alternator relocate?

Anyone make one for a 2G yet? The strut tower is kinda in the way with the 2G chassis.

yea i was talking with that DV/DT Fab guy about that awhile ago. He said he was going to have to box the tower to get enough clearance.

Re: alternator relocate?

Cool, now if you could find someone to get the magnet clutch off the
compressor to work on the alternator you could have the ability to shut it off
on WOT runs.
