Well, I need to generate more traffic on this, so I'm posting it here.
I have up for sale my 1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD with manual transmission and 182k on the clock. I've owned the car for 2 years now, and have done most of the maintenance on it over that period. The car has been incredibly reliable for me, all things considered, and it's been a joy owning it for this period. The reason I'm selling is that I picked up an Evo 8 and I don't have room for both vehicles, so the Talon unfortunately has to go.
We'll start with what I've done to it:
Intake:
Vibrant cone filter
Injen hard intake pipe
Induction:
MHI Small 16G turbo
JDMsport FMIC
Greddy RS BOV
Drivetrain:
ACT 2600 street clutch
Comp Clutch 12lb flywheel
Suspension:
Tokico Blue struts
Tokico Red springs
Brakes:
Brembo rotors
EBC Red pads
As for maintenance, the car has a new power steering pump, new alternator, and all 4 wheel bearings are new. The core support and passenger strut tower have been repaired to eliminate common rust in those areas.
The good:
Body's in good shape, no dents, dings, etc. Motor still has the factory head gasket and factory compression numbers. Oil has been changed regularly with Mobil 1 synthetic.
The bad:
The hatch is starting to rust through, could do with a new one. Front bumper has a small crack, rear bumper has a scrape, both could theoretically be picked up for cheap off any second gen DSM. There's an exhaust leak from the flex pipe, so it sounds a bit rough. The idle air controller is on its way out, so you have to manually idle the car for a few seconds when you start it, but after that it idles just fine.
What I'll give you with the car:
GM MAF and translator
Evo 9 fuel pump
A set of wheels that all match.
I'm looking to get $3.5k for it, but I'll honestly take best offer as I need this gone by the end of the month.
Thanks for looking.
