1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

I do not want to sell but two kids to daycare doesn't work and I have two other dsms. So I will let it go for $3,900 to the right buyer.

1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD manual
114,000 miles

Performance Mods:

-6 bolt with balance shaft removed installed by MAP summer 2004
- rebuilt eIII16g – probably less than 1,000 miles on it
-fmic
-synapse bov
-cop ignition setup
-1150 fic injectors
-aeromotive afpr
-6an fuel feed line
-dsm link
-gm maf and maft
-walbro 255
-fp race exhaust manifold
-megan ss o2 housing
-3 inch rre downpipe and highflow magnaflow cat
-3 inch apexi ws2 exhaust – sounds awesome and is quiet
-2 ½ inch intake pipe
-ACT 2600 clutch
-1g throttle body
-mishimoto radiator
-permacool fans
-external oil cooler with ss lines
-evo 10% taller 5th gear

Other Mods:
-all four seats heated
-proper two catch can setup with pcv and check valve
-aem wideband
-glowshift oil pressure gauge
-glowshift
boost gauge
-white faced stock gauges
-remote start – clutch safety switch disabled
-blacked out tails
-projector headlights
-2gb eclipse side skirts
-some sort of body kit front fender I’m told is rare that I actually don’t mind

Misc:
-new rims and tires this year – less than 1,000 miles on them
-just replaced driver lower control arm – ball joint went out
-new heater core this winter and hoses

The bad:

-the paint job is not great
-someone tried to bondo the back bumper into the body and its cracking
-having random starting issues - I'll be driving it to figure out problem - will update
-interior fan doesn't blow the best - maybe crap in the system since car sat a while
-car suffers from phantom knock which is currently shut off with dsm link
-interior painted and is dirty / peeling a little

The good:

-car has no rust except surface rust on driveshaft. I drove it a little this winter which is the first snow I think it's seen - has coating too
-quietest 3 inch exhaust I've ever heard
-leather is in good shape

I'm sure I am forgetting some things.. I've spent a lot of time on the car and am sad to see it go. I want to see it go to a good home.

I thought your were going to chew me out Julian. I'm going to cry when this car goes down my driveway for the last time. I had to drink a few beers before even listing it!

Re: 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

Of all the body kits out there I think it's kind of okay. Anyway - I installed and wired in the heated seats - bought the universal kits on ebay. Just pull off the hog rings and slid in the mesh heating element. I drilled out the controls and wired them into the ignition since I was installing a remote start anyway. Nothing like a warm seat on a butt cold February day!

That is a Stillen front bumper. It's super rare and probably is the only one in Minnesota that I know of.

Re: 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

Update: I swapped ecu's with my eclipse and now it starts everytime. However, now I'm getting a cel for cyl 2 injector misfire. The car runs just fine and I'm pretty sure it's just a gremlin. I've already fixed two other electrical problems but so far no luck finding this one so as is for now - $5,500

Re: 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

Bump - $4,900. Haven't been really trying to sell it but the vr4 is almost ready and my wife is tired of 3 dsms.

Some pics to grease the wheels maybe..

Re: 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

I've been driving it every Saturday since this listing started 120 miles and haven't had any problems. I do drive it pretty slow though so I don't know what would happen if you start beating on it. It's not tuned for WOT since I've just been cruising in it. I had the compression tested a while back and it checked out. I don't have the exact numbers but it was not fantastic but above the service level sufficiently.

Also, the a/c system is not charged.

Is it something that would be good for a first car? Thanks.

Do you mean for a kid or first time dsm owner? Honestly, if the owner doesn't know much about these cars I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: 1995 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

Yeah it's going to give you problems if you push it hard I'd imagine. But most cars will when you mod them and drive fast. I guess it's up to you - it is a street setup and nothing too crazy.

Well the car got blasted by baseball sized hail on Saturday. So the car isn't for sale anymore. I may be parting it out depending on how I come out with insurance.
