Re: Headlights harness melting

Wierd. I had the same problem in my Galant when I put in Silverstars, and just putting in cheapo headlights fixed it for me.

Re: Headlights harness melting

It's a very common problem with newer Mitsu's. Did you replace them with the O.E. pigtail harness?

Re: Headlights harness melting

I went to mitsu and bought new pigtail harnesses. The wires seemed like a thicker guage. With the new harnesses, and the cheapo bulbs, I'm having no more problems.

Yeah, they did update the harnesses with a little heavier duty ones. If I was you Enes I would go buy the pigtail harnesses from Mitsu and solder those bad boys up.

Re: Headlights harness melting

do the bulbs mount in the same way into the housing? or did you have to do some work on the headlights to put the H4 bulbs in

I will most definetely go with that.. i don't want to be modifying the housing at all..

Depending on how much work is needed to get this working on a 2g, has anyone else done this upgrade on a 2g?

I bought H4 upgrade housings to replace my pop-up sealed beams from checker. I'm not shure how the 2g headlights work but I think you might be able to just get bulbs and the harnesses I got. The ones I got are the best lights Ive seen other then HID's.
