Re: Anyone with a valve spring compressor i can use with the head on for rent

Use a compression tester adapter and put about 60psi of air into the cylinder to hold the valves up. The lisle tool number is 16750 and I bought it for $26. Its a lot easier with just using air then using rope. You just do the four on that cylinder than pressurize the next cylinder and do those four.

So bought the lisle compressor and not to be a jerk, but there is no way you found the kind of clearence with that took to do them. Which sucked because i had to take out and put cams back in for nothing. Back to square one anyone got a JTC or Schely compressor i can rent.

I have the Snap-on type one if you want to rent it. I can't believe I never saw this thread before.

Or if you want to buy it you can do that too. I don't really have much use for it now.

Let me know what you think. Sorry i didn't find this sooner.
