2G Tranny issue

so i was inspecting my tranny the other night and seen the input shaft houseing was broke and off. Should i try and get it welded? or just jb weld it quick? or should i just say fuck it and get another tranny? thanks for any input

It looks like somehow the shaft was pushed up inside there and was grinding away on it. Technically I don't believe that piece supports anything, but it makes me a leery. You should be ok without it, but I would do some investigating and find out why it happened in the first place.

It pretty much holds my throw out bearing centered, so i figure jb weld? lol and i bought a shell and it was like this so no clue how it happened how ever the flywheel bolts were backed out, thats my guess?
