Re: House Projects
Just found out today that they gave us the wrong fan with the siding options. We have to go back there tomorrow and pick out a new siding color, lame. But really, pretty minor considering the big picture of what's going on, can't complain too much.

Be prepared to wait 3-4 months and endure numerous bumps in the road between Offer and Closing on a Short Sale. It can be quicker and easier but very rarely. They're suited well for people who want a deal and are flexible in their timeframe.

Re: House Projects
They've made some decent progress this week. Doesn't have the same "wow" factor as the house being erected, but still good progress. So everything is framed. All electrical has been ran. All plumbing has been ran. Almost all the HVAC has been ran. Water heater installed. Garage floor drain has been installed. Outside of the house has been wrapped in that plastic stuff. The 2 full bathrooms have the fiberglass shower/tub's installed. We made a deal to keep the nicer siding that they had made a mistake on. We made a trade, so we had to take care of the pile of trees in the front yard. My dad and friend Mike took care of that pile in about 5hrs with the help of a chain saw, and a small brush fire in the back yard We have a nice little woodpile in the back yard now for future bonfires!
That's about it for now. Not sure what is scheduled for next week but at the pace they're working, I'm sure they'll find a way to amaze us.
Also we have all of our lighting now purchased, with the exception of one light. So I've been pre-assembling a lot of them, and making sure they aren't damaged

Re: House Projects
Ha, actually I was thinking one of these days of leaving a cooler full of pop and beer at the house as a motivator for them

Re: House Projects
After living in CA, and people constantly making fun of me for saying POP, i was forced to change my ways instead of explaining. Now when someone says pop to me, i laugh at how stupid that sounds. hahaha

Re: House Projects
Made some more good progress. House is spray foam sealed, insulated, sheetrocked and mostly taped. Fireplace installed downstairs. Maintenance free siding is all complete on the sides and rear (front is getting different siding so that will come later). Soffit and Facia is all up.
We talked to the taper, he said they should be spraying the knockdown shortly on the ceilings, and expects painting to be done next week and then they'll start on the trim. We shall see, but man these guys are on fire!!
