Most shops send cranks down to crankshaft supply in NE Minneapolis, they offer re-nitriding. It's about $200 over machining though. Mine was about $320 to have cut and nitrided. If I were doing a street only car, I don't know if I'd re-nitride the crank even though the factory nitriding would be gone. A lot of hi-po factory motors didn't ever come with it.
