JET's Customs
I will be putting more info in here in the future, but I wanted to keep people up-to-date. My shop is now fully legal (the reason why it has its' own forum now). It is JET's Customs LLC.
A little background about myself, I have been a machinist since '93 and worked in the medical field for 4 years. I have done everything from tractor transmission housings to die casting molds to human heart pumps.
Business has been going good the last few months. I am getting more tools in the shop and I am bringing my first production part to market, the intake manifold. That is going to be followed by O2 housings, turbo back exhausts, and FMIC kits. I am already stocking a lot of silicone couplers and T-bolts. These are going to be my main products, but more will be added all the time. I do not plan on reselling parts right now (so no I won't be selling turbo's, injectors, etc.)
I have a website in the works and I will try to keep this forum current also. If you have questions about anything, feel free to ask. Everyone has been really good about sending PM's for quotes so far. Thanks for all the support everyone!

Re: JET's Customs
Have you thought about making a stainless heatshield? I was tossing around the idea of purchasing the JM Fabrications model but would rather purchase local if it's an option.

Re: JET's Customs
That is a definate possibility down the road. I don't see it happening in the immediate future though. If I get enough demand I could probably get that done in about a month though.
That is a good idea though Jakey, I am going to make a thread about products you guys want to see.

Re: JET's Customs
The website has been updated, but is still a work in progress. Check out the new products section for more info on the intake manifold.

Re: JET's Customs
A stainless heat shield? Is that supposed to retain more heat or something?
Jet, I'd like some soft aluminum head and main studs please.

Re: JET's Customs
It's supposed to hide my ugly ass manifold, and that's all I really care about. And I think stock ones are ugly.

Hey, gotta do what the customers want! It will be mainly a bling item, but it should also help hold the heat in the exhaust. The stocker is probably just as good at that, it seems to be insulated slightly. It will keep the underhood temps down quite a bit for those running no shield because it is too ugly.

Re: JET's Customs
Here is the latest addition to the shop! It is a miller syncrowave 250 TIG welder with a bernard torch cooler on it. It will put out up to 310 amps and do aluminum, SS and mild steel. All O2 housings and IC piping will now be done with the TIG. DP's and cat-backs will still be MIG'd since you don't see the welds anyway!

Re: JET's Customs
I had some people ask to see some of my welds. Here is some TIG work from an O2 housing I am building for a 1g AWD. I will try and get some MIG pic's from the exhaust later on. Take into consideration that this is about 10 times magnification too

Re: JET's Customs
I'm working on it, and have been for a while when I have time. Jet's x-cart should be as normal by midweek if all goes well.

Re: JET's Customs
Is there something wrong with the website? Whenever I go to it it just refreshes endlessly and shows a bunch of errors all over the damn place.
