Would I be OK with a high mile CRV?
Ugh, it has to be 2011 or newer for financing.

Who are you financing with? Under seven years is the usual with no extra point fee. After that usually just the percentage of interest goes up a little. Im sure a 100k crv that was well taken care of would be fine. I'd just find one as low as you can afford. Worth it to me to pay a little more and get sub 70k.

No it doesn't, we financed the Scooby and got a good used car rate. You can also try to hanggle on the rate a bit as well.
Are you trying a blanket approval via your bank? Try the dealership?

Typically if a bank is going to limit the age of a vehicle for a lower rate, they're also going to restrict the miles. Generally is under 80k.

If not this is our number 1 choice after driving. 2008 rav4, 2007 cx7, 2011 crv lx.

140k? Double the amount of miles I'd consider for the price range but it is pretty new compared to the others. The link before your last is what I'd consider.

I got my loan thru a credit union and it had to be at 10 years or newer. Miles didnt matter and had to be a clean title. I chose to go thru a credit union since they have way better interest rate. I believe 2.9 interest rate is what i got compared to i think 10 percent at my current bank.

Wow that seems like alot of money for a care with 140k miles on it.
I know it was suggested, but did she like the Forester? Seems like you can get one with alot less miles no it.

The 140k on it may be scary but it does come with a powertrain warranty for as long as you own it so that's something to consider. Especially if it's all 100% covered, no out of pocket on those big ticket items.

I'd jump on the CRV.
Any chance of other options? Got the wife the 2011 Outlander Sport. AWD. got it for $13.5k and it had right under 50,000 miles when we bought it. All around, it's not a bad car. Sluggish, yes. CVT, yes. Paddle shifters for racing, yes. haha.

I think Brown mentioned something about needing to be 2011 and newer. Guessing his rate goes up a lot if its not.

What about a Ford Edge, wife has one and it's great vehicle for the price. Are you wanting a car or SUV? I would suggest an SUV or crossover, so nice having the extra space with kids.
What are you selling the 'Hoe for already?

Can you get a 2011 or newer edge for 15K? They are pretty expensive aren't they? I like those years if you can find one in the price range.

Re: New DD for the old lady and babies- $15k, she has 4 top runners.
Wife don't want no 'Hoe!
She said the rates go up or the term gets really short, we need the monthly payment to be about $250 or less.
Thanks for the help guys, she is a bit burned out from saturday, she is having a rough time with the pregnancy this go around. It's a lot tougher when she has to take care of a small one already.
I work this weekend and I have national guard the weekend after, so this might get put on hold for a bit. But I'm digging the 2012 CRV right now, I'm a bit scared of CVT transmissions I drove a 2012 legacy with one and it was gross. Plus long term it would be horrible if something happened to it.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: New DD for the old lady and babies- $15k, she has 4 top runners.
Yea, the miles go way up if you're trying to get an '11 or newer under 15k. You can however find some 2010's on CL for under 15k. If you can find one for 12-13k it would more than likely make up for the extra bit of interest rate. Just a thought!
We got our 07 SEL AWD w/ DVD & Nav with 110k for 7k, but we got a hell of a deal.

Re: New DD for the old lady and babies- $15k, she has 4 top runners.
Two notes from my experience:
The CVT (at least on Nissans) really sucks in the snow. I don't know about other brands though.
I saw you mentioned the CX-7. Ours gets 20mpg max highway, and recommends premium as it's a 2.3 turbo. I really like ours, but would definitely buy a different car if I knew this ahead of time.
CRV seems like the safe choice, but they're stupid expensive for used unless you get crazy high miles. That's the way it goes with reliable cars with good gas mileage.
