What does it Matter if he wants to paint his hood, I mean I personaly dont like the way it looks either. But its his car and if he thinks it looks good let him do it, it is what you make it.

But what happened to those hood scoop pictures?

A black hood on a red car does not look bad. I had it on my Conquest TSI - bought it that way. Personally I think your car will get more attention and value if you leave it as close to stock as possible (appereance wise). As a matter of fact, I am having my 90 GSX painted and getting rid of some small rice decals I had. A clean looking 1G is a woderful thing

I'm looking at getting a 1g white/black TSi. The guy got the hood painted along with the tops of the fenders and it looks great IMO. He took the line from the tail lights to the mirrors and extended it to the head lights. I'll take some pics of it the next time I see it to show you...but that probably won't be until this weekend.
