What a bunch of dinks :uh: That does put a lot into perspective. You can't take the things you have for granted.
I will say this though, everyone starts from different places, trying to guess what moves that family or it's members has made to be in the position they are in is beyond us. It would be wrong to assume they are there from something they did wrong, but you never know, a different path taken or better decisions made could have changed what they have and what they are dealing with now. Hard to say, besides, looking at this you don't know if they are happy or not, they could be which puts them ahead of a lot of people with more in this world. Do the best you can with what you have been given. No compromises and take nothing for granted.

I see a family making the best of what they have. I've never been the most forunate person... At times better than others, but overall I never ask for a lot and never expect anything in return. The past couple of years have taught me to live a more frugal life.

I see a man with a smile on his face, because he is with his family. He may not be rich in societies eyes, but in his eyes he is the richest man in the world. People take things for granted sometimes, when most of the time you have great things right in front of you, but you just don't see them.

Mike, mattd, and craig got it in the combination of all 3 ...
to me it shows his dedication and sacrifices he's had to make for his family...
look at the pants he's wearing, they have a patch over them because they are worn and old from work. The bike they are riding on is probably the only bike they have and he uses it to go to work and back along with going to get groceries or to visit family. Which is probably where they are on the way right now to visit family ..
I know what it is to be poor.. back home when my father started working we didn't have a car, we had one bike at the begining and it was for him to go to work and back.. after few months we got another bike, thats what we had for many years, thats what we used for transportation, summer or winter, snow or rain or sunshine...
Life was a lot simpler, a lot cleaner.. less busy.. and all of my family was in their homes and alive....
sorry i'll stop rambling... i just had one of those soft moments of the good old times and memories ....

That is one of the moments you hold dearest in life. The kind that nothing changes.

I didn't really think to much about it until Enes posted. Kind of wish I would have had it a little harder growing up so I would maybe appreciate a few things more. Not saying I'm a spoiled little b, just that pictures like that don't really mean much to me.
