Project Stallion

So I'm not on this forum to often but I thought I would share with the community my adventures with my Starion. .In the year of ownership I've had a lot of ups and downs with the car. But I keep telling myself through every dark hour the rewards of owning such a unique car greatly outweigh the hardships I've come across and have yet to come in contact with. Bottom line my addiction has just started and is only going to get worse. I love my fatty! Anyway enough rambling here's some pictures:

And as you can see in my signature my car is pretty much in stock trim hopefully within a year or two I can get her built up a bit more and go from being an average street car to an aggressive weekend toy.

Thank you! Well, mainly it's diagnosing all it's issues there is no plug and play device that tells me what's at fault. Everything has to be manually inspected. I'm actually struggling right now with it. Lean issues, hardly gets into boost and I just can't seem to figure out why, I've replaced so much on it and still having problems. Although it's much better then it was. She's actually drivable now. Another thing is getting add-ons for it, most aftermarket parts have to be custom applications. Like I stated though it's all worth it in the end..the compliments, the looks, everything! Lol.

P.s. No dyno time yet, since she's not running optimal I haven't even bothered. Hopefully soon I can change that though

Re: Project Stallion

You happen to know a StarQuest guy out there named Mark? (I'll leave out a last name, you either know him or you don't) He'd be a good resource to help you out if you do

Nice car btw, I'm totally jelly.

No not sure of a Mark? I'm sure he's on SQC though. I've probably had my questions answered by him sometime or another. And thanks for your compliment.!

Re: Project Stallion

Thank you guys, I appreciate all your responses. I'm planning to get my fenders rolled here pretty soon and bring out my wheels about a half inch or so. Not feeling the whole sunken look. .that will do for now until I save up my pennies to buy a set of SHPs (basically the same wheels but an inch wider front x rear and a different offset to bring them out)

Re: Project Stallion

FYI, SHPs don't stick out much more, not anywhere close to needing the fenders rolled (my 88 is an SHP car). With the SHPs, the fronts will only be ~1/2" further out, while the back is only ~3mm further out (less than 1/8")

But for spacers, anything less than a 20mm spacer out back, and less than a 25 up front will require trimming the length of the wheel studs to get the wheels to seat completely (for bolt-on spacer/adapters). The "pockets" in the back of our stock wheels are not very deep.

Re: Project Stallion

Oh is that so Derek? Well thanks for the heads up man. Maybe I'll just leave it alone for now. I rather concentrate on the whole mpi addition anyway, my brother and I were just kicking around ideas at the time.
