Porblems Starting When Cold - Not Coolant Temp Sensor

Car: 91 Galant VR4

I put a new coolant temp sensor in it, there were two on the thermostat housing (I dunno if that's normal, it's a Galant VR4), but one came from a running car, and the other one is brand new.

The car starts when it's warm, it starts when its warmed up. It doesn't start when it's cold.

We sprayed carb shit in the IC pipe and cranked it and it started right away.

So... any suggestions? There's fuel coming outta the rail, but I dunno about the injectors (if they're opening) - doubt it.

There's spark.

So whatever controls the injectors from opening on cold starts isn't working.

Suggestions? ECU was changed to a working one, no fix there. I am gonna try another ECU JUST IN CASE, but I dunno.

I gave my old logger to Old Man Hill several years ago, maybe he still has it?

I had a similar issue on my 1G, ended up replacing the ECU and that magically fixed it. You have any spare ECU's you can try?

This is a long shot, but maybe try bypassing the FPR solenoid?

On my colt it was actually the wiring to the CTS. I guess 20 years of vibrating worked some wiring loose.

Re: Porblems Starting When Cold - Not Coolant Temp Sensor

Air temp sensor or engine temp sensor are only thing that is gonna make it run richer in the cold, unless the extra airflow for the cold is not there, from the coolant thing in the bottom of the throttle body. 1 of those temp sensors is for the fan in the front the other for the ecu.
