A little help please

So i just bought a turbo for my Eclipse Gst

I need a new turbine housing because the guy before me broke a bolt off in it and messed up the threads trying to get it out. and now its beyond fixing. Im trying to find a new one. the problem...

The housing says its a TDO5H with a part number of 49178-01470 and when i looked it up it says its from a 95 lancer evo 3. OEM Part# ME083572

So when i called the mitsubishi dealer to see if i could just order the part, they said they couldn't find the part in their system. so now im kind of at a loss.

if anyone happens to have this part or knows how i could get this part , please let me know.

That's the famous Evo3 16G turbo. You can look for a parts 16G, and I'm not sure, but the regular 14b hotside might work as well, it's just a different material. You'll want to confirm that though, I don't know the exhaust wheel sizing off the top of my head.

What bolt hole is it? Ive run a loner bolt through the housing and put a nut on before. Didnt look the best but functioned fine.

Re: A little help please

I was reading up on the 14b but it seems like most people are saying that they take the 14b and put the 16g housing on it.. so would i lose power in doing that in reverse?

and i thought about just drilling it out as is and then putting a bolt and nut on it.., i just wasnt sure if it would seal right. and its kinda iffy on the 2nd one also so would doing that to two holes be alright also? as long as the bolts and nuts are rated for the torque spec i think i would be alright...

Take it to a machine shop, they will be able to extract the bolt and tap the hole if possible. Shouldn't cost you much either.
