Re: Evo VIII Ecu

If you need more I saved everything about it, I decided I needed/liked more of the support of ecmlink than going thru the hassle of evo ecu even if it will be smoother in the end.
I can always change

Re: Evo VIII Ecu

It is pretty sweet. Originally when I first had it running, I had it running in conjunction with my Maft Pro to sort things out. Now I have the Maft Pro completely out of the loop and running full speed density with the evo 8 ecu. It runs so amazingly smooth and idles perfect even with no ISC! I had to do alot of sorting and forum reading lol, but it has paid off.

The biggest issue I had was scaling the Aem 5 bar sensor that im using, and scaling everything for the airflow of a 2.0 versus a 2.3 that im running. Originally I just scaled the injectors down so the ecu adds more fuel. Well I found out after a bit of tuning that this was a no no because the ecu is not scaling the loads correctly and my timing was way too high. So I set my injectors back and scaled the map sensor loads 15% higher, then bam, everything was in order. I just wished I would have done this long ago, well worth it! I have everyone to thank who has put time into the Tephra roms, there is so much tuning fun and adjustablility. A big benifit as well is bieng able to log in Evoscan with some actual real speed versus the 1g ecu.
