Exclamation Please Help! Electrical Parasite!

My car has some kind of battery drain while it sits. If I don't start it every 10 or 12 hours, it won't start. I thought it was the battery so I replaced that.
I really doubt it'd be the alternator.
The only recent work that was done on the car was the Power Steering pump.
Is there any battery drains like this with DSMs?
Thanks for any help. This blows.

Any vehicle can have a battery drain, time to break out the voltmeter and start to look for the draw. Common places include door switches and interior lights drawing power as well as systems staying online, such as JET mentioned.

Re: Please Help! Electrical Parasite!

Found it by accident yesterday. Took the stereo out to tuck some wires at work and got zapped when my hand completed the ground from my stereo...
The keys were in my pocket.
Busted out the voltometer and found almost 10v being pulled through my stereo. My guess is a diode went bad. Sony deck barely lasted 2 years. Meh.
If anyone thinks they can fix the deck, they can have it.
