Vacuum line from SMIM to FPR

Well i removed my intake manifold tonight and i broke a plastic t fitting that was spliced into the vacuum line from my SMIM to the FPR. The third end was just vented. Is this supposed to be there? I know i was leaking air out of it when i did a boost leak test the other day.

no. you should have no vaccuum lines vented at all. seal it all off, get rid of that fitting. no venting!

Re: Vacuum line from SMIM to FPR

maybe he ran a boost gauge off of it, and forgot to cap it off if he removed the gauge?

Or it was capped and then it popped off under boost. Either way, just cap that bitch off or replace it with a new hose.
