I was browsing about the Intercooler stuff and I came across this site for intake and IC cooling solutions. Its a very simple way of using water to cool air. They sell the kit for DSMS.

The retarded thing is that you have to use the manual tank in the car.. which is really oh snap. it should come with a tank and an electric pump.

I was surprised that they actually dynoed the car after and before....but who knows if they just didnt up the boost for effect...

Kinda cool. Cooling

Yea, thats bullshit. Even if it does give 15degree cooler air to the intercooler, first it will block a lot of the airflow to the intercooler, second 15 degree cooler air getting to the intercooler might make 0.5 more horsepower. Not a 30-45hp gain.

I also like how both of the dyno charts are run #3 and both are missing a T on torque. The spool up of the torque line on the second dyno run is also all wavy, I have never seen anything like that on a turbo DSM. The first chart looks like how it should. The power in both cases is quite bad for how laggy the turbo is assuming its a 4th gear pull.

Also, I like how the charts end at exactly 7500 rpms. Even though revlimiter is at 7500, things don't usually work out exactly like that on a dyno chart. The HP and torque are also not crossing at 5250RPMs on the second chart even though the scaling is the same for both. On the first chart it looks like they are crossing at 5250, while more like 5050 on the 2nd.

On 2nd chart at 7000RPMs the torque is roughly 270ft-lbs. Now HP = Torque x RPMs / 5252. So going by that the HP at 7000RPMs shoudl be roughly 360HP, but it's around 312HP on that graph. Hmmm...

Anything labeled "Insane" is obviously bullshit. And I didn't even study the dyno sheets to come to my conclusion. :stick:

Doesn't that almost fall into the 'if I put my AC to blow into my intake' catagory. I also love when new technology is introduced through E-Bay. I still can't figure out what that says about our society.

I have a home built IC sprayer that I made for under $5. Seems to work pretty good actually. For the post-it note sized IC that I have, it actually helps out a lot on those hot summer days.
