Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Yeah, I'll never have a swapped FD because I'm too cheap. I drove jungy's C5 and fell in love.
Even though I swore them off a year and a half ago.
I never travel with the kids alone and I still have the civic if I need to.
Going to try and get the dsm done this year, not sure if money will cooperate, but I'm going to me sure that I put a conscious effort on my part to do what I can.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
I've been sitting on these for a while now, just swapped on some free tires i got instead of the all seasons that were on there.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from a local machine shop about building my motor hopefully next month.

WisDom right here.
Tires were free with only a few thousand miles on them at most.
Best street tire for digs you can get for dirt cheap or free in my case.

Was wondering about that too, saw your fb post. Why not get some good summer tires or drag radials?

The newer, poorer version of green dot retreads.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Well, time to start this puppy up again.
Need to install turbo kit, find someone to fab a Downpipe, install a shift box for the trans, reinstall interior, it's a mess. Install new radiator setup.
Good list of stuff ahead I want it done in 6 weeks but we will see.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
What you thinking for a radiator? You still going to use the exchanger in the rad for the trans or do you auto boys just run a cooler on the modded cars?

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
I have an AFCO scirocco radiator and I've had a big seperate trans cooler pretty much from the start.
Just need to find a welder to get my downpipe made.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Had some good friends help me out with the welding, now I need to install the new cooling system (Thanks Carltalon), my VC with (2) -10an lines, calan catch cans, and UR Ultra light PS pulley with all the latter being powdercoated Satin Black. (Thanks Dark2g).
Just need to find time between work, house shopping, idiot landlords flooding my bathroom/hallway, etc. Week of the 9th I should be able to get some stuff done.

Awesome to see you've had some time to work on it now. Feels good to get shit done that isn't just cleaning up after the kids haha

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
yeah it really does. Just need life to stop throwing hurdles. But it feels really good to feel determined about stuff again and make progress with it.
But it's also thanks to a lot of good people around me too. This upcoming week I should make some good progress.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Sorry for the lame, no pic updates.
Last night, cleaned up a spare oil pan and oil drain line. Got it installed, along with the Tcase.
Put on the thermostat housing tonight, need to find my sensors now and I can't find my TB.
It's gonna be all kinds of random shit that will kill me with this car.
Tomorrow I'll pick up a FP manifold and try to get the turbo system all bolted up (exhaust, IC pipes, then I need to figure out an intake pipe and such.)

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Another lame no pic update.
But now finally have all the pieces I think. FUck i need to order a battery, but I found my S90 buried in the attic at my moms, then found a box of hardware of mine at my ex's.
Hoping to have it done soon, gonna stay up late the rest of this week. But I need to pack to move, pack to get the place I live sold/shown/listed, ready to host family members in about 2 weeks for 5 days. It never ends.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Left to do:
Fluids
Front and rear motor mount (gonna be a bitch)
Get IAT bung welded and reinstall upper IC pipe
Boost leak test
Order spal 13" fans x 2
install current single 10" fan for now and new radiator
Cut mounts for radiator
Install shift box
Pray it fucking works with no major issues.
