WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

Alright, help me get my car at least ready for the cruise coming up in October. I need:

-1g 6-bolt Timing Cover (BOUGHT)

-Stock Water lines that run across the front of the block and connects the thermostat housing to the water cooling part of the oil filter housing. I think there is another line that runs near the oil filter itself that I would need also.

-Speedometer Cable which goes from the tranny to the gauge cluster I believe (BOUGHT)

-Oil Filter Housing Plug, the plug you unscrew to where you can use an aftermarket oil line kit. I am going back to feeding from the head with a 16g so I need a plug to go back in the filter housing.(BOUGHT)

Pretty sure that is all I need at this point, but I will update the first post with anything else I find I need. There are no 1g parts cars in my area so please help!

I have a 90 water line that gets rid of the water cooler on the oil filter housing. I also did a motor swap on a buddys car and he has a extra 6bolt lower cover I will have to see what he wants for it

Re: WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

What would swapping to the 90's style entail? Would I have to mount up an external cooler than?

Re: WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

Well I guess I want to get the car going the easiest way possible so I may have to pass on oil filter housing for an ext cooler setup. Thanks anyways TKR.

Bump, anyone else have any of the above?

Re: WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

For the plug, just go to a hardware store and buy a 1/4" NPT plug. It'll cost maybe a dollar

Re: WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

I have a nice brass 1/8" npt plug you can have for free, took it off my splitter at the filter housing.

EDIT: wait, what size is stock 1g, 1/4 or 1/8? I have a different oil filter housing and mine uses 1/8", but my 2g one used 1/4" I believe.

That's what my plan was going to be if I could not find a stock one. Figured someone had one lying around though that would be willing to part with to make it easy.

Re: WTB, STOCK 1g parts!!

You could just make your own using large diameter brake lines bought from Advance. 6ft of 3/8" is like $10 or something like that. Easy to bend into the shape you want it, and then just use hi-pressure transmission hose to connect the ends.

That is if no one has the hard lines.

Will keep that in mind, thanks!

Bump, nobody has gone to an external oil cooler and not used these lines anymore?

Sweet! Thanks Mark, you are a lifesaver! I'll take the lines and the keys+locks from your FS thread. I'll figure out if I work next week and if I don't, maybe we can do the deal at OC if you are planning on going to save money and hassle on shipping. I'll be in touch.
