90 trans shifter lever arm

I need the actual arm that bolts to the tranny.

The 91+ lever arms are longer, that is why i need the shorter arm.

I can pay or trade you the 91+ lever arm i have.

edit- i need the gate selector arm

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

just curious, and not to clutter your thread, but whats the difference here in shifting with the longer vs. shorter arms?

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

Its hard to explain w/o a picture, but the 90 shifter cable bracket with the 91 shifter arm just does not work. The arm is too long for the cable.

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

ah. so there's really no difference in shifting mechanics of the tranny, just that the brackets are paired with it's correspoding shifter arms?

The lower one that has a pin going through it is the gear selector, the upper one is the gate selector.

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

Are you sure? When you move the shifter side to side it is that lower arm that moves.

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

The one in red selects which gear in each gate, such as 1st or 2nd gear, 3rd or 4th, 5th or reverse. The one circled in black selects the gate for each pair of gears. If you can take a look at one in person, it'd all make sense.

Re: 90 trans shifter lever arm

Just drill a hole in the 91+ lever and bolt the cable to it like this.
