MDPS sensor

I heard a loud hissing noise coming from under the hood and first thing that came to mind was a vaccum leak. I took a peak under the hood and found out the hissing noise was coming from a busted "manifold differential pressure sensor". My question is should I replace or is there way to bypass it because from what I found out it only has to do with the emissions and wouldn't cause any harm to the engine other then throwing a CEL.

Re: MDPS sensor

It seems to just throw CELs and not do much else. It is used by the ECU to figure out if it is getting proper EGR flow.
