Coolant Temp. Sensor?

i have 91 talon awd and i got a problem with the car wanting to overheat because the fan doesnt auto kick on, the only way to get the fans to work is to run the ac switch on. possible cooland temp. sensor or could it be something else? thanks

What does a thermostat have to do with cooling fans?

There's a temp sensor at the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side that controls the fans, that's probably your problem.

ok i thought that was gonna be the problem, thanks for the help ill try that, where did you get your temp. sensor at? just any parts store or a dealer part only?

I couldn't tell ya bro. I had MAP get it for me since they had my car. Call them up!
