Has anyone tried this cast eBay manifold?
I was looking for a cheap cast T3 manifold and remembered that people put DSM turbos on F22 Accords because the exhaust flange pattern is almost the same. So I looked and they have cheap cast T3 Accord manifolds on eBay for only $80 lol, has anyone thought of this and tried it by chance? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cast-Turbo-M...9c9042&vxp=mtr

I don't see how you can go wrong! Just dip it in JBweld before putting it on for extra strength. Or maybe some mighty-putty wraps? These have proven very effective on all the nitro cars I see at the track.

Re: Has anyone tried this cast eBay manifold?
Yeah it looks like it might put the turbo into the radiator, I'm guessing it would have some clearance issues

Yeah I was thinking about using one of those but I'm running an HX40 and I know there are clearance issues, I might just end up making my own, the Sch 10 stainless isn't much thanks to my employee discount and I know how to TIG weld so whatever.

Wastegate had to be hitting on something, it tore the metal which is moderately thick.

Re: Has anyone tried this cast eBay manifold?
He's asking about a cast mani, not a tubular. Cast mani for the right motor could be OK.

I asked a simple question if someone had tried something, obviously no one has because no one has given me an answer to my question, you and about half the other people posting on here are providing useless information to a potentially relevant topic. If all you guys want to use that same couple of parts and do the same couple of mods and be the next Honda crowd be my guest, sorry for trying to think outside the box and come up with a potentially useful resource to the DSM community and not be a bunch of useless forum rats like I seem to keep having problems with on this forum. Just remember, there are no such thing as a stupid question, only a stupid answer.
And yes Jason I know of the problems with the stainless ones, I had my 46mm fall off an eBay mani on my last Talon racing an 1100XX up Hwy 36 when I had it up on 35lbs on the Holset, thought my motor blew for a second from the loss in power and the sudden loud noise lol.

Thanks for another worthless post that doesn't answer my question! typical from this forum!
sorry I thought I'd get that in before he does but yes I agree you get what you pay for. I don't think you can expect much if anything from an $80 ebay manifold.

Re: Has anyone tried this cast eBay manifold?
^^For a fucking honda none the less...not even a part made for the right damn motor.
I know there was a guy on t00ners using a honda intake manifold. Skunk2 or some shit. Needed a ton of modification and welding just to make it work, totally not worth it in the long run, especially when there are countless proven parts out there for the platform.

lol. I blew my oil cooler line on 36 a number of years back. Then my alternator went, on the same part of 36. Same thing with my clutch. I stay away from 36 as much as possible now.
I consider all ebay stuff to be of equal quality. I don't care if it's cast or tubular. To me, it's all junk. I'd rather buy a used quality piece, than a new ebay item.

Uhh, I don't see you asking any questions in this thread, unless you're also punxwhatever.
