And the question is, what exactly is crankwalk...i get that its a bad thing. I do know what the crank, i assume "walk" means it moves, but i wanna how and why?

side to side or lateral movement out of spec of crank when running. obviously causes catastrophic problems. Check magnus motorsports. Very good explanation.

The out-of-spec movement is usually caused by an excessively worn thrust bearing.

It's "caused" by the trust bearing wearing down.

hey thanks guys, i think i might just start a thread for jasons lame ass questions. Cuz i got plenty... Like whats an up pipe? I know what a down pipe is but not an up pipe.
